Peak color has overspread almost the entire Rockies Region this week, with the higher elevations of Wyoming and Utah already past peak. Out West, the predominant color is yellow, such as in the aspen trees.
Fall foliage will reach peak throughout the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast through the next week, according to Fall foliage spotter reports.
Color is creeping toward Oklahoma this week as well, with some good color starting to appear in Arkansas and Missourri. Oklahoma may get a couple rounds of rainfall through the next week and a half, which will be a good boost for Fall color development here.
So far, this Fall foliage season seems to be progressing "right on time," and it looks like Oklahoma is still on track to have its peak colors by early November.
