The wild winter weather in the Pacific Northwest continued this weekend with
people around the Seattle, Washington area seeing a mixed bag of snow, wind
and rain.
Sunday morning, areas north and south of Seattle saw several inches
of snow accumulate, but by the afternoon it warmed up, the snow melted and
then the wind started showing up.
Forecasts call for winds up to 60-miles per hour. A high wind warning has
been put into effect along the coast of Washington. A wind advisory was put
into effect from Tacoma north to the Canadian border. Forecasters say winds
of 50-miles per hour could be experienced.
Records show this winter has been the eighth snowiest on record, but those
numbers could change after this weekend's snow totals get factored in.
