OU vs Air Force Prediction

Its Friday which means time for my weekly Sooner Prediction. I think when all is said and done we will look back over the Sooners non-conference schedule and see that Air Force is the best of the four teams OU played. My trepidation over this game, however, has waned as the week has gone along.

The Falcons triple option offense is a pain in the butt to get ready for. Theyll score some points in the first half. But like last week against the Noles, I think the Sooners will make in-game adjustments and slow the Air Force "O" as the game goes along.

Two things to keep in mind: 1) Air Force played Houston in last years Armed Forces Bowl. Former Sooner assistant Kevin Sumlin coaches Houston. And while Air Force pummeled the Cougars, the OU coaches have no doubt received a thorough scouting report from their old friend. And 2) what was the biggest weapon against the OU triple option back in the day? Speed. The Sooners speed on both sides of the ball will eventually overwhelm the Falcons.

OU will win, but itll be closer than it was against the Seminoles.
