McDonald's is looking out for our kids' health, laugh if you want, but I for one appreciate it.
McDonald's has decided to cut in half the portion of French fries in its kids Happy Meals and add apples.
Up till now, you could get apple dippers or fries, and guess what, hardly anybody was opting for the good stuff. I mean the good for you stuff.
So I'm glad McDonald's is at least including some fruit in the meal, and cutting down on the calories a bit.
People are too hard on McDonald's. You know you don't have to eat there if you don't want to.
And today I wanted to, so I did.
I don't think we need the food police deciding what we can and can't eat, just continue to give us some idea of the nutritional value of what we're shoveling in.
Despite my wife's best efforts I can be kind of a junk food junkie, but I'm trying cut back too..
I'm starting slow though. I don't want to flame out too quickly.
My goal is to leave a few fries in the bag, which I've found is a lot easier if I supersize my order to begin with.
