OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoman's will soon take flight to the bay area.
Will Rogers World Airport has announced the first ever non stop flight from Oklahoma City to San Francisco. The flight will be offered through United.
Airport officials say not only will this make it easier to travel to the Bay area for business and vacations, it also make is easier to schedule trips to other destinations like Hawaii and Asia.
"Any time Oklahoma City gets new air service, it's good for the travelers because it just gives you more options," said Karen Carney, Will Rogers World Airport Spokesperson. "It gives you more flexibility with your schedule, so we just always want to see more air service in this market."
The first non stop flight from Oklahoma City to San Francisco departs Tuesday, August 30, 2011.
