Jessica Coody joined the News 9 Sports team in July of 2009. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Jessica is enjoying covering sports back in the Sooner State.
Jessica graduated high school from Chattanooga High School, (yes that's Chattanooga, Oklahoma, not Chattanooga, Tennessee,) with a graduating class of 18. For those who know their Oklahoma high school sports, Jessica is proud to say she has played at the "Big House."
After high school, Jessica graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma, where she worked on the student newscast. Her first job out of college was at KMID in Midland/Odessa, TX, where she covered the real-life Odessa Permian Panthers. Although she enjoyed her time in Texas, she couldn't be happier to be back in Oklahoma.
Jessica's passion is high school sports, and telling the unique stories about her fellow Oklahomans involved with local sports.
Outside of work, Jessica loves to spend time with her family, Jack, Shari, Jake, Granny, Pa, and Granna (and the rest of her wonderful family) and of course her cocker spaniel Sammy, who is the cutest dog in the world. Jessica also enjoys volunteering at The Children's Center in Bethany.
Be sure to chat with Jessica on the Sunday Night Ford Sports Blitz, and if you have any story ideas she would love to hear them! firstname.lastname@example.org
