The latest report from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows drought conditions across Oklahoma have worsened slightly in the past week.

Associate state climatologist Gary McManus said Friday that the state has seen little rain since October.

The Drought Monitor shows 32 percent of the state in exceptional drought -- the worst rating. That's up from 31 percent a week ago. The remainder of the state -- with the exception of a small sliver in far northeastern Oklahoma -- is rated as in extreme or severe drought.

Wheat farmer Joe Kelly in Altus says up to 15 percent of the wheat crop dead and much of what remains is in poor condition. He says the land as "bone dry" and that the last rain in the area was in early October.
