Investigators are trying to figure out what started a fire that swept through a vacant house in southeast Oklahoma City early Tuesday morning.
Neighbors called 911 around 4 a.m. when they spotted flames coming from the house in the 600 block of S.E. 48th Street near Lindsay Avenue. Firefighters quickly put out the fire and no one was hurt.
The fire destroyed almost everything inside the house. Neighbors say the residents moved out several weeks ago. Because the house was empty, arson investigators inspected the scene trying to determine what started the fire. Although they don't know how it started, they believe it began in the back of the house.
