The Oklahoma City RedHawks split a doubleheader with the Round Rock Express Thursday night, making up Wednesday night's game that was rained out.

In the first game, the RedHawks jumped on the Express early and held on for a 5-3 win.

Jose Cisnero picked up the win for the RedHawks, pitching three innings in relief of starter Travis Blackley. Randy Wells took the loss for Round Rock, while Jose Valdez got the final out to pick up his third save of the year.

Jonathan Villar was the star for OKC, going 3-for-3 at the plate while driving in a run and scoring twice.

A two-run single from Che-Hsuan Lin in the bottom of the second inning started the scoring. Lin's single came after a single from Marc Krauss and a double from Villar.

Round Rock rallied to tie the score at two in the top of the third. Engel Beltre singled to score Aaron Cunningham and move Greg Miclat to second. An error by OKC right fielder Fernando Martinez allowed Miclat to score from second during the next at-bat.

Not to be outdone, the RedHawks scored two more in the bottom of the third. The first came on an RBI-double from Krauss that scored Trevor Crowe from third, and the second came on a Villar single that drove in Krauss from second.

Both teams added a run in the sixth for the final margin.

The second game was quite a bit different. The RedHawks scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, but that was all the offense OKC could muster until the final frame as they fell to the Express, 8-4.

Krauss singled to score Trevor Crowe to stake the ReHawks to a 1-0 lead. Round Rock quickly erased the lead, putting up two runs in the top of the second inning to grab a 2-1 lead.

After another run in the fifth, the Express put up five runs in the top of the seventh to put the game out of reach. A bases-loaded single and walk brought in two runs, and Gerg Miclat cleared the bases with a double to blow the game wide open.

The RedHawks scored three runs in the bottom of the frame on two bases-loaded walks and a hit batter, and had the bases loaded with just one out and the tying run at the plate. However, Che-Hsuan Line and Jonathan Villar struck out to end the game.

The RedHawks go for the series win against Round Rock Friday night at Chickasha Bricktown Ballpark at 7:05 p.m.
