We have good news to report about a 17-year-old Clinton girl we first told you about a week ago.
Stormi Landers suffers from the auto-immune disease Alopecia. It's not life-threatening, but the disease causes people to lose their hair.
Stormi's father Chris contacted News 9 a few weeks ago after he saw his daughter placed an ad on the internet for a "used" wig.
Chris has custody of Stormi and her three siblings, and money is tough right now.
Since we aired Stormi's story, Oklahomans have donated hundreds of dollars to a fund that's been set up for Stormi at a Clinton bank. People have also donated new wigs, make up and clothes.
Stormi begins her senior year at Clinton High School this Friday. She says where before she was self-conscious around classmates, now she looks forward to the new school year.
"It helps me be more comfortable around people. I am so grateful for all of this help," she said.
Her father says he is amazed.
"It's been overwhelming," he said. "It's put a big smile on her face and taken a lot of weight off our shoulders with all the help. Thank you."
