After hundreds of people contacted News 9, asking how they could help a 17-year-old girl in need of a new wig, the family has established a fund at a Clinton bank.

News 9's Steve Shaw told the story Tuesday night of Chris Landers and his daughter, Stormi. Landers is a single father of five children. Four of his children live with him, including his oldest daughter, Stormi. Stormi suffers from Alopecia. Her hair began falling out when she was 5 years old.

Stormi has a wig, but it is old and frayed, and her father doesn't have the money for a new one. Landers recently learned his daughter secretly posted an ad online asking if anyone knew where she could purchase a used wig.

After watching the story Tuesday night, hundreds of generous Oklahomans contacted News 9, wanting to know how they could help. The family has now established a fund at a Clinton bank. People can drop off donations to the "Stormi Landers Wig Fund" at First Bank and Trust Company, 501 Frisco Avenue in Clinton. Or you can mail donations to:

Stormi Landers Wig Fund
c/o First Bank and Trust
P.O. Box 9
Clinton, Oklahoma 73601

The family will likely receive more money than needed to buy a single wig. Chris and Stormi Landers want people to know they will use all the money to continue buying wigs in the future, because each hair piece only lasts about a year.
