Firefighters put out a fire at a mobile home early Tuesday morning in southeast Oklahoma City.

According to the fire department, crews responded to the fire at about 4:30 a.m. at a mobile home at the Burntwood Mobile Home Park, in the 3300 block of S.E. 89th Street.

Crews were able to put out the fire quickly after they arrived at the scene. More than half of the home was destroyed.

According to fire officials, a young boy was playing with a lighter when he set his mattress on fire. The two adults tried to get the mattress out of the home. But it caught the home on fire.

A woman and a dog were treated for smoke inhalation. They are expected to be okay.

Fire officials say the boy will be placed in fire prevention and education classes.
