Scott Brooks announced that Russell Westbrook will not play against the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
"(Westbrook) is not playing tonight," Brooks said. "He will play tomorrow night."
The Thunder visits the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.
Brooks said that Westbrook looked good in practice, but he and the Thunder want to stick to the plan.
"We have our reasons and there's many of them," Brooks said. "He practiced yesterday and looked great, but we felt that we've had this plan in place and he will just sit out tonight and come back tomorrow."
Brooks also confirmed that in games in which Westbrook does play, his minutes cap still exists, and nothing has changed in that department.
"Right at around 30 minutes per game," Brooks said of Westbrook's playing time.
In addition to Westbrook sitting, Brooks also announced that Andre Roberson and Steven Adams will once again start.
