Devon Ice Rink To Open This Friday In Downtown OKC

The Devon Ice Rink will open this Friday at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City.

As part of Downtown OKC Inc.'s Downtown in December celebration, the ice rink will be open to the public from November 14 through February 1.

“We are so pleased and excited to embark on our fourth skating season at the Gardens,” said Maureen Heffernan, executive director of the Myriad Gardens Foundation. “It's a great activity for families, and it's something people can enjoy all winter, and we appreciate Devon Energy for making it possible. It's a fun way for kids with cabin fever to let off a little steam. It's also fun for out-of-town guests and, of course, we can't think of a lovelier location!”

Wendi Schuur, director of Community Relations for Devon, said the company is pleased to sponsor the ice rink.

“It's about fun with family and friends in a beautiful setting that brings people together,” said Schuur. “We hope the Devon Ice Rink adds to the holiday spirit and sense of community in downtown OKC.”

Open seven days a week, the Devon Ice Rink hosts daily public skating, private parties and special events all winter long. Hit the ice on Friday nights for Rock ‘n' Skate with a live DJ from 6 to 9 p.m. 

Food and drink will be served outdoors at the rink throughout the season, or you can dine indoors at the Park House for lunch or dinner every day of the week.

Rates:

· $12 per person for all ages (includes skates)

· $8 for guests who bring their own skates

· $7 per person for Myriad Gardens members (includes skates)

· For 10 or more guests, $8 per person (includes skates)

Hours of Operation:

· Monday - Thursday: 3 - 9 p.m.

· Friday: 3 - 11 p.m.

· Saturday: 11 a.m. - 11 p.m.

· Sunday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
