The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a small earthquake in Garfield County, Oklahoma early Saturday morning.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a small earthquake in Garfield County, Oklahoma early Saturday morning.

At 3:51 a.m., the USGS reported a 3.3 magnitude earthquake shook the area 13 miles west of Perry, 19 miles east SE of Enid, and 29 miles west NW of Stillwater.

There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.

According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
