Fire crews were called to the scene of a house fire on the northwest side of the metro.
Several people called 911 to report the fire at a home in the 1500 block of NW 44th St. around noon. Firefighters reported the heavy fire conditions at the rear of the single-family home when they arrived.
Four people were inside when the fire began, and all of them made it out safely before the fire department arrived. Crews quickly got the fire under control and conducted a thorough search of the home to make sure nobody else was inside.
Oklahoma City Fire Department Investigators were called to the scene. They determined that electricity was being jumped from another home to the house that caught on fire.
Crews estimate approximately $15,000 of damage was done to the home.
