NW Expressway Reopens Near Piedmont After Single Car Crash

Three people are in the hospital after the car they were riding in drove into a tree on NW Expressway at Mustang Rd. in Oklahoma City.

Police say the car was traveling east when it crossed the center line and struck the tree. They're still unsure as to the exact cause of the wreck.

Police say there was a dog riding along in the car at the time but the dog did not survive.

Crews had to shut down westbound NW Expressway as they worked to clear the scene. The roadways are back open.
