Two metro men were charged in a crash that claimed the life of a Moore woman.

“I just wake up every day and think it’s a horrible nightmare and it's not, it's real life,” said Misty Goldman, Marissa Byrd’s mother Misty Goldman.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, both men were racing at the time of the crash.

New court filings reveal they had also been drinking. “What were they thinking?” said Goldman.

According to OHP, on the night of the crash, Isaiah Lancaster and Devon Davis were speeding down Interstate 35 in Moore. They were going so fast that other drivers took notice.

“She said he passed me like I was sitting still. She said I immediately screamed to my son in the car My god, they're going to kill someone,” said Goldman.

Chaos unfolded. “She said it wasn't even two minutes later she saw debris flying, smoke,” said Goldman.

According to court filings, Lancaster was behind the wheel of a red Mustang GT seen in a video posted to his social media. Reports show Lancaster was speeding down the "inside shoulder" of Interstate 35, when he "struck the barrier wall, losing control."

“From the damage that I personally saw--I can almost tell you the minimum triple digits,” said Trooper Preston Cox, Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The impact triggered a chain reaction of crashes that obliterated five vehicles, killing Misty Goldman's daughter, Marissa Byrd.

“Somedays I just lay in the bed and cry. To get up and get a shower is an accomplishment some days,” said Goldman.

Reports show Davis' car, a silver Charger landed "on its top."

It's captured in racing videos posted to his social media --one reads "What’s the point of buying your dream car if you're not going to drive it like you're in a dream? "

Goldman says because of their careless actions, she was robbed of her daughter and the opportunity to make amends.

“Our last conversation we were fighting. So yeah, I’m left to live with that guilt,” said Goldman.

Goldman said she’d like to see harsher punishments given to reckless drivers in the form of jail time.

She said citations aren't enough.

Both men are charged with first-degree manslaughter and have bonded out of jail. They're scheduled to return to court next month.
