Many people in Logan County lost their homes and their livelihoods last week due to the wildfires.

What people have worked their whole lives for went up in flames last Friday.

“We weren't insured, so I don't know how to resource yet. We're potentially rebuilding this or closing it,” Josh Jones, owner of Soonerglue said.

“I opened the door and grabbed my dogs, and the flames were just coming and yea it was just too unreal,” Scott Hill said.

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture said there were more than 90 fires across the state. In Logan County, it was a single big fire that swept across more than 3,300 acres destroying more than 50 homes and structures and it's still burning.

“Red Cross is set up at the Philadelphia Church of God and also the Oklahoma state health department has brought in their mobile command unit, and they are set up at the Woodcrest fire department,” Steven Haga said.

Crews spent the day assessing by talking to business owners, families and replacing power lines that had melted.

“It's a disaster like I've never seen before. It's a miracle that I even got out alive and that's the main thing,” Hill said.

Unfortunately, the work isn't over yet. Crews are expecting a high fire danger Tuesday.

“Logan county just went into a 14-day burn ban this morning,” Haga said.

Neighbors said they're still in shock from last week's fire and not sure how much more they can handle.

“Today has been a big assessment day. It's just I don't even know step one of how to demo a building,” Jones said.
