A man accused of showing up to a NW OKC apartment and shooting a man to death was arrested earlier this week. His fiancé says although justice has been served, the pain is still unbearable.

Cindy Flores said she feels numb. She thought she would be spending the rest of her life with Curtis Snyder, but now she’s spending the holidays planning his funeral.

Flores said she was home with her fiancé when they both heard someone trying to open their front door.

“We thought maybe they were at the wrong apartment,” Flores said.

A couple of minutes later, Flores said she heard someone at the door again. She said Snyder then got up to speak with the person.

“The next thing I know, I hear gunshots. I hear one gunshot and then I hear four more and I see Curtis trying to get back into the house. He had his left hand on the door trying to get back in,” Flores said.

Flores said she frantically ran to his aid and called 9-1-1 who walked her through life saving measures.

“I'm doing chest compressions, but I knew at that point he wasn't going to make it and that's when the police showed up they checked his pulse and that was when it became a murder scene,” Flores said.

Days later, U.S. Marshals and OKCPD arrested Kendall Edwards Jr. Flores said she never seen him before, but he took away one of one of the most special people in her life.

“We were going to exchange vows this April of this coming year. He was a hard worker, when he loved he loved with his whole heart. I'm devastated. We spent 10 years together. I'm scared, I’m depressed, my heart is completely shattered and all I could do right now is take it one day at a time,” Flores said.

Flores said she hasn't been back to her apartment since that tragic day. She said her life will never be the same.

Flores said she's spending the holidays working with Snyder's family on funeral arrangements. If anyone is looking to help, CLICK HERE.
