Tulsa evangelist Oral Roberts is encouraging the pastor of a Tulsa church who was punched during a service last week.

Roberts sent a letter to Reverend Billy Joe Daugherty of Victory Christian Center. Roberts wrote he saw videotape of the incident and he told Daugherty, in July 1947 a man aimed a gun at his head and pulled the trigger. It narrowly missed him during a healing crusade in a tent in Tulsa.

Roberts says the national attention will help the church spread its message.
