HOUSTON (AP) -- The number of rigs actively exploring for oil and natural gas increased nationwide this week, but fell in Oklahoma.
Houston-based Baker Hughes says the number of active rigs in the United States increased by four this week while the number in Oklahoma declined by four.
In other major oil- and gas-producing states, Texas gained five rigs and Wyoming two. Colorado and California each gained one rig, while Louisiana lost one.
