Tulsa Police are looking for the driver who hit a man in a Walmart parking lot and then crashed his car into the store.

The incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. at the Walmart at 81st Street and Lewis Avenue.

Police say the car, which appeared to be a mid-90s Chevy Caprice, was going up to 40 mph in the parking lot when it hit the man and then struck the building.

EMSA took the unidentified victim to the hospital in serious condition with several broken bones. Police say he is expected to survive.

Officers say the man was hit so hard, his body shattered the back windshield of another car.

Police say the hit-and-run driver, a Native American or Hispanic male, ran away. His passenger, a female, was taken to the hospital. There is no word on her condition.

Police said it does not appear it was an intentional incident.

"It just appears to be a collision right now. He was walking through the parking lot. I'm not sure where he was going, but he was carrying his groceries," Tulsa Police Cpl. Ross Williams said.

If know anything, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
