An Oklahoma couple is recovering after the plane they were in crashed in southern Colorado.
Authorities tell us the privately-owned plane was carrying two people and their dog when it went down shortly before 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the airport in Pueblo.
According to the Pueblo Chieftain, the plane's engine apparently quit running and failed to restart as it approached the airport.
We're told the woman on board had several cuts and scrapes, but is expected to be fine. The male pilot is believed to be uninjured.
As for the couple's dog, it was staying at a local fire station while the owners were in the hospital. After being released from the hospital, the couple came to the fire station and picked up the dog Sunday night, officials said.
Authorities have not released the names of those on board. Both the FAA and the NTSB are investigating.
