LOS ANGELES (AP) -- In many places in the West, it's either wet or snowy.
A huge storm that stretches from the Mexican border up to Oregon and Washington is expected to last through tomorrow afternoon.
Heavy snow forced the closure of a 50-mile stretch of Interstate 5 in both directions in the mountains north of Los Angeles. I-5 is the region's main north-south artery.
And the final round of a pro golf tournament -- the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am -- was washed out.
In Northern California, a flood advisory has been issued for the San Francisco Bay area and a flash flood watch was issued for much of the central coast.
Skiers and snowboarders at Lake Tahoe resorts are gleeful. Up to 7 feet of snow has fallen in the Sierra Nevada over the past week.
