According to multiple sources, former Oklahoma State guard and Brooklyn Nets rookie Markel Brown will miss 4-6 weeks after breaking his hand on Monday.
Brown broke the fourth metacarpal bone in his right hand during a routine work out in Las Vegas. He is expected to be unable to participate in any basketball related activities for the duration of the projected recovery timeline.
The 6-foot-3 guard was named second-team All-Big 12 in his senior campaign with the Cowboys this past season, averaged 17.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, one steals and one block in 35.3 minutes per game.
Brown was the 44th-overall pick of the Nets June's NBA Draft and competed in summer league action with Brooklyn.
