Have you heard the name Jonathan Gruber yet?

Jonathan Gruber.

If you haven't you're about to become familiar with him.

He's an MIT economist, smart guy, and arrogant too. Some have called him the architect of Obamacare, the White House denies that, in a minute you'll understand why they're flat out running from this guy. They can't run far though, this morning on MSNBC one of President Obama's former top advisers said Jonathan Gruber was the guru on healthcare, a frequent White House visitor.

Why does all this matter?

I'll use Gruber's own words to answer that, he said about Obamacare "the stupidity of the American voter was really critical for the thing to pass." Gruber's been caught on video bragging on the lecture circuit about how the healthcare law was written in a "tortured way" to make sure what was clearly a new tax on the American people would appear NOT to be a new tax, and to great laughter he smugly added that "the American voters were too stupid to understand the difference."

On another occasion speaking to an audience he said of crafting Obamacare "the lack of political transparency was a huge political advantage."

And I'll leave you with this gem from Gruber; he told a group a key element of Obamacare involved "a very clever basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter."

That's you and me.

Now he says he chose his words poorly.

But I think, as he would put it, he was just too stupid to realize there are cameras everywhere these days.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
