Friends Of Victim React To Christmas Eve Murder In Anadarko

One woman is dead and a man is still in the hospital following a Christmas Eve murder in Anadarko.

Friday, friends of the victim and members of the community said they're still in shock.

Police were called to the home on East Georgia Street by a neighbor just after noon Thursday. Inside they made the gruesome discovery.

Investigators are not releasing the names of the victims and are not yet discussing a motive for the crime or any specifics.

Neighbors said the pair often had loud arguments, but otherwise seemed friendly.

“They was good people, man. They visited. Every day they’d go by. No problem. We visited together. They’d come over, just sit around and talk. Enjoy the day,” said friend of the victim, Ambrose Whitlock.

The coroner's office was on the scene, working to determine the cause of the woman's death.  The man was taken to the hospital by helicopter.  No word on his condition.
