One Man Dead After Being Thrown From Motorcycle

One man is dead after he wrecked his motorcycle in Oklahoma City overnight.

Timothy Mallory, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene by Oklahoma City Fire due to a massive head injury.

Authorities say that Mallory was traveling eastbound on I-44 about a half mile east of Classen Blvd. when he departed the road to the left striking a cable barrier. Mallory was thrown from the 2006 Yamaha motorcycle and landed in the median near the barrier.

Police determined that Mallory was traveling at an unsafe speed and was not wearing a helmet.
