There's been some talk about OU possibly running the ball more with Kyler Murray at QB, but we know Lincoln Riley is a Mike Leach guy so the passing game isn't going anywhere.
On Monday, Coach Riley said he has complete confidence in his QB's passing ability.
"He's got a very strong arm, really spins the ball well, is very accurate," Riley says. "I think for him it's going to be just now settling in to game situations and translating from what we've seen on the practice field, translating that over to the game field. There's not anything that we've done throwing-wise in the last few years that I wouldn't be prepared to do with both Kyler and Austin."
"He kind of sees openings that I don't really see," sophomore tight end Grant Calcaterra says. "Watching film, he'll throw the ball when the window's not there, but it's going to be there, so he kind of has that 'it' factor."
Kickoff with Florida Atlantic on Saturday is at 11 AM, and Coach Riley said that the Owls, who hold the nations' second-longest active win streak at 10 games, are easily a top 20 or 25 ranked team.
