A 10-year-old is itching to get back on the baseball diamond after a scary diagnosis.

Bentley Keen would get what he called “spells” multiple times of day.

“I would feel lightheaded, nauseous. I'd get a headache and I'd feel dizzy," Bentley said.

Bentley said the dizzy spells would come out of nowhere.

"He even started having them in his sleep and that's when we really started getting really worried," Bentley’s mom, Cathy Keen, said.

After doctors ran several tests, the spells were later diagnosed as epileptic seizures.

Doctors put Bentley on seizure medication, something he'd have to take for the rest of his life.

But after an MRI scan, a tumor was found, also known as “abnormality of the temporal lobe,” Dr. Cherie Herren said.

Doctors at the Children's Hospital suggested removing the tumor.

"We did surgery for two reasons: one to try to cure the epilepsy and to get a complete resection from the tumor," Herren said.

Bentley’s mom said she was impressed with how strong Bentley handled everything.

"He was braver than I ever thought. He never cried through all the lab work and tests," Cathy Keen said.

His teammates cheered him on.

"His coach had Bentley Strong bracelets made for the family and all the teammates,” Cathy Keen said.

For Bentley, he eagerly waits to get back to the field.

Bentley is still waiting to get the clearance from his doctors to play baseball again.

Bentley said he happy to finally be home with his family and friends.
