1 Killed, 1 In Custody After Crash Involving Bicyclist In Norman

One person is dead after a crash involving a vehicle and bicyclist in Norman, according to police.

Norman police confirmed that officers responded to a report of an injury collision near West Robinson Street and 60th Avenue Northwest, around 3:31 p.m. on Friday.

Police say that the initial investigation revealed that a vehicle hit a bicyclist before leaving the scene and 'causing additional collisions in the area'.

NPD say that officers located the vehicle nearby, and the driver was taken into custody.

Police say that the bicyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The collision remains under investigation, according to police.

Robinson Street is closed between 48th Avenue Northwest and 60th Avenue Northwest.
