OKLAHOMA CITY -- Happy endings for two dogs lost during recent Oklahoma disasters.
The first is about a dog that wandered up to firefighters during the wildfires in early September. Firefighters gave him food and water and took him to the Oklahoma City animal shelter.
The shelter held him for 30 days in case his owners came to claim him, but no one ever did. However, someone came in to adopt him. He will go to his new home Wednesday.
The second story is about Maude, a dog found after the May tornado. The Yukon man who found her held her all summer hoping to find the owners. After News 9 ran a story about Maude, the owner still never came to claim her. However, an outpouring of folks wanting to adopt her did come forward.
Maude was adopted and is currently in her new home.
