The daughter of a retired Oklahoma City minister and church elder is appealing to the better nature of the motorist police say struck and killed her father.
Police say a witness saw a black SUV plow into 77-year-old Roland Kearney just on Northwest 10th Street just east of Nix Lumber and Hardware just after 2 a.m. Wednesday. The driver of that SUV then sped away.

Kearney’s daughter Felicia Tennyson said her family does not harbor anger toward the person who hit and killed her father. But she said they do owe it to the family to turn themselves in.
“You don’t have to run, you don’t have to. You can turn yourself in whatever. We’re not mad because my dad was up at 2 in the morning. Why he was out there walking, I don’t know. He was a good man. He deserves to know. We deserve to know what happened.”
Tennyson, who is Co-Pastor with her husband Ray at Oklahoma City’s Lifeline Church, said her father and mother were married more than 50 years. She died four years ago.
Roland Kearney leaves behind five children, and 18 grandchildren.
