Bethany voters fund school improvements

Bethany Public Schools got the nod from voters for a $275,000 bond issue for capital improvements.  A resounding 92.7% of voters approved the proposition.

The funds would be used to finance:

  • Removal of temporary buildings between the middle school and high school.
  • Five new classrooms including a modern science lab and a computer lab.
  • Proposed storm shelter areas in the new wing.

Approval of the measure would bring no tax increase over the 2006-07 level.
