Guthrie High School lockdown lifted after firearm incident, suspect arrested

Guthrie High School was placed on lockdown Thursday after a subject attempting to sell a car on school grounds was found in possession of a firearm, according to authorities.

School administration confirmed the lockdown but initially could not provide further details.

Authorities have since reported that the individual did not fire or use the weapon in an aggressive manner.

However, the suspect was arrested for possession of a firearm on school property.

Police responded quickly to the situation, and no injuries were reported. The lockdown has now been lifted.
