A large quantity of the synthetic opioid fentanyl was found after officers responded to a reported suspicious package in Oklahoma City, according to police.

Oklahoma City Police said three pounds of the drug were taken by the department's Special Projects Unit after a resident reported a suspicious package.

According to OCPD, fentanyl is more potent than morphine.

If you encounter a suspicious package, OCPD says to prioritize your safety and call 911 immediately.
