My Brother's Keeper started in 2014 as a White House initiative during President Obama's administration and is now a program of the Obama Foundation.
MBK Tulsa is one of 250 communities within the network in cities across the country.

In 2023, Tulsa was chosen as one of four Model Communities by the My Brother's Keeper Alliance.
It focuses on understanding and amplifying the concerns and priorities of boys and young men of color in Tulsa.

MBK brings together partners in the areas of education, workforce development, and safety to develop strategies and solutions to problems facing young men of color.
It works under ImpactTulsa, an organization that uses data to identify and remove roadblocks for kids, especially in underserved communities.
