Bixby And Jenks Gear Up For Championship Game

This is also state championship week in high school football.

Bixby and Jenks will meet for the gold ball in the state's largest class on Friday night in Edmond.

The Spartans won the regular season matchup 31-14 earlier this month.

"This is the matchup you want," said Jenks head coach Keith Riggs. "Playing against what everybody considers the best team in the state, and giving yourself a chance to compete for that championship."

"Just as nervous and puckered up and balled up as all those other weeks," Bixby head coach Loren Montgomery said. "So yeah, it definitely feels like a championship week."
