Driver Injured, 2 Horses Killed In Trailer Fire Along I-40

Two horses were killed after a trailer fire Saturday afternoon along I-40 near Anderson Road.

Authorities say the trailer was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived to the scene and was later seen smoldering on the shoulder of the interstate.

OHP says a pickup hauling the trailer caught fire, eventually spreading to the fifth-wheel trailer.

The driver was treated for slight burn injuries at the scene.
