Man Arrested In Connection To Deadly Hit & Run

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has arrested a suspect in connection to a deadly hit and run on April 26.

OHP was able to determine that a semi-tractor hauling a John Deer swather had hit Michael McCauley's semi-tractor, causing him to go off the road and overturn. McCauley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers arrested Johan Heinrichs in Dalhart, Texas on May 23.

According to authorities, Heinrichs hit McCauley's semi-tractor and kept driving.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Heinrichs admitted to side-swiping the semi-tractor and admitted to knowing the resulting crash caused a fatality.

Heinrich now has one complaint first-degree murder.
