Police said 18-year-old Prince Ordu turned himself in on Wednesday and was arrested on one complaint of second-degree murder.

Questions still surround the events that led up to a fatal shooting earlier in the week that killed 17-year-old Trenton Knight.

“I never thought I would be burying my baby boy,” LaToya Richey, the victim’s mother, said.

Richey is a grieving mother looking for answers.

“The people from the home,” Richey said. “The stories are just continuing to not add up.”

Police said a resident of a home near North Rockwell Avenue and Hefner Road heard a gunshot late Monday night come from a bedroom. Moments later, the woman said a group of teenagers, including her son, ran out of the home.

Knight was found in the bedroom deceased with a gunshot wound.

Richey said the teens were posting videos on social media with a gun before her son died.

One of the people in the videos was Ordu.

According to court documents, Ordu told investigators he pointed a gun at Knight while they were playing around. Ordu claimed the gun went off on accident.

The victim's mother does not believe the suspect’s story.

“This was blatantly done,” Richey said. “This was not an accident. This is what the young man is claiming, but this man has been plotting on my son for a while now.

Ordu told investigators he got rid of the gun after the shooting.

He was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on one complaint of second-degree murder.

“I’m praying there’s more arrests,” Richey said. “It’s definitely an ongoing investigation. It’s not cut and sealed.”

Richey said her son was a student at Mustang High School and was loved by his classmates and family.
