A Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Deputy went into surgery Friday afternoon after being shot seven times on Friday morning.
The deputy was life flighted from Pink to OU Medical Center.
According to police, the deputy was awake and alert before going into surgery.
The shooting, which was originally a domestic-related call, was reported near the intersection of Austin Drive and Patterson Road in Pink.
Authorities said a suspect, identified as Braedon Chesser, was inside a home on Austin Drive firing multiple rounds.
The situation is no longer a threat to public safety.
