TULSA, Oklahoma -

The Golden Hurricane ground game is starting to click. TU heads on the road this Saturday to South Florida.

Shamari Brooks had his second game with at least 100 rushing yards Saturday with 126 and two touchdowns against Memphis.

It’s been an impressive comeback, as Brooks was out all of last year with an ACL injury.

“You have a major injury like that, ‘am I going to be the same, am I going to be able to react the same and do the same things that I've done in the past,’” head coach Phillip Montgomery said. “It’s been really good for him and for us to see him come back and be the type of player that he has always been."
