More than one coach describes it as a marathon to make it to the final four of the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship – and the Cowgirls are on track for the finish line.

In Scottsdale, Arizona, the OSU Cowgirls took care of business against Auburn in the quarterfinals 4-1, setting up a date with Duke for a chance to play in the championship.

Maja Starks gets OSU on the board first with a birdie on 15 to win the match 4 and 3. Then on 17, Isabella Fierro sinks the birdie putt to pick up the win.

Freshman Rina Tatematsu clinched the match with a par tap-in.

The Cowgirls handed Duke a 5-0 victory Tuesday to move on to the championship round.

“I’m very excited, you know, and very proud of my teammates and I can’t wait for tomorrow,” Tatematsu said.
