The Oklahoma City-County Health Department says they have 10,000 vaccines ready to give out on the state fairgrounds to anyone who is wanting one Wednesday.
The unique piece about the clinic is you are able to choose which vaccine you want.
There are 2,500 doses of Moderna, 2,500 doses of Pfizer, and 5,000 doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine.
The county health department says they believe the demand is there for the single-dose vaccine. That is why they requested so many.
They say they are receiving less calls on their hotline but say this all because of how quickly they have rolled out the vaccine to those who would like one.
Officials remain hopeful of getting the most people vaccinated as possible.
“Getting 10,000 people vaccinated would make a huge difference for Oklahoma County herd immunity,” said Molly Fleming with the OKC County Health Department.
“All three shots are effective. So we encourage everyone to get the vaccine that is available to them,” she said.
People age 16 and 17 are eligible to get the Pfizer vaccine with a parent on site.
Anyone 18-years and older can receive the other two vaccines.
Make sure you bring an ID to the appointment.
You can walk in to get your vaccine anytime Wednesday between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and still choose the vaccine you would like.
