Authorities said that a multiagency investigation led to the arrest of 17 people Thursday morning on drug-related charges. Officials said that one of the people arrested resisted and got into an altercation with the officers when they were taking him to the Washington County Detention Center.

Officials said Davis was a 10-year veteran of the Washington County Sheriff's Office and had a wife and two young children.
