Caramel Apple Magic Bars

Crust:

  1. 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  2. ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  3. 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  4. 1 tablespoon sugar

Topping:

  1. 2 cups peeled, cored and diced Granny Smith apples
  2. 1 cup shredded coconut
  3. 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  4. 1 cup butterscotch chips
  5. 1 cup chopped pecans
  6. 1 can sweetened condensed milk

Glaze:

  1. 20 caramels, melted


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line 1 baking sheet with parchment paper and 1 9x13 pan with parchment paper to create a “sling”.
  3. Spray the 9x13 pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, cinnamon and sugar.
  5. Press into the bottom of 9x13 pan.
  6. Pour the diced apples onto the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the crust and apples from the oven.
  8. Sprinkle the apples over the top of the hot crust and then layer with coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and pecans.
  9. Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk over the top of the toppings and return to the oven to cook for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and allow the bars to cool.
  11. Once the bars are cool drizzle the melted caramel over the top.
  12. Chill for 30 minutes and then cut into bars.
  13. Store the bars in the refrigerator.
  14. Enjoy with a cup of milk!
