A district showdown between Jenks and Edmond Santa Fe scheduled for Thursday night has been canceled. In a statement, Jenks Public Schools officials said there are too many students and coaches in isolation or quarantine as a result of COVID-19.

There is a possibility the game is rescheduled but a date has not been announced.

The most recent numbers on the district’s website list more than 450 students and staff in quarantine or isolation.

Thursday was also senior night for the band. The district says recognition will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Pawhuska football team will have a new opponent on Thursday after the district said their original opponent, Oklahoma Union, had to cancel the game.

Pawhuska is now scheduled to host Rejoice Christian.
