Mount St. Mary had an early senior night this year. The game was moved up in case the pandemic cancels the season.
The Rockets beat Capitol Hill 51-12, and the star of the game was senior Jacob Brooks.
"We've always wanted him to be included and be a part of everything, and the Mount gave him the perfect opportunity to be one of the kids," said Kerri Brooks, Jacob's mom.
Jacob is in the school's Cornerstone Inclusion Program, designed to give students with intellectual disabilities an educational experience just like everyone else.
Jacob has Down syndrome, and he's also a star in the classroom, on the court and the gridiron.
After being a part of the team the last few years, Jacob suited up for the first time Friday.
But he did more than just dress, people wanted postgame pictures with Jacob because he scored a touchdown in the game.
"My friends were all excited for me because they were like happy with me, they said 'Go Jacob, go Jacob!'" Jacob said.
His brother was on the field with him, Jesse is a junior tight end and linebacker.
"Honestly, probably the best thing to ever happen to me in high school, or just the best moment of my life so far," Jesse said.
A play that lasted 7 seconds, but a moment that will be remembered forever.
"He's found his place, this is a place for dreams, and he loves it," Kerri said.
